The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is recruiting an Associate Director of Administration to guide the Center in meeting its ambitious goals for growth. As the leader of multiple diverse teams, the Associate Director of Administration will promote effective collaboration and excellence in research, and will manage multidisciplinary cancer prevention and translational patient care programs. This individual will oversee all cancer center units, including fiscal management, human resources, grants/contracts management, public relations/communications, philanthropy, and facility management.

The successful candidate should have significant administrative leadership experience within an NCI-designated Cancer Center with management responsibility in the areas of academic, practice, research administration, program development, and/or academic medical center operations. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of an academic health care environment, incorporating budget preparation, forecasting, and efficient grant and contract management, are essential for success in this position. The Associate Director should exhibit independent judgment and decision making, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage the entire staff.

UACC is located in Tucson, Arizona, with a collaborating site in Phoenix, and has been a Comprehensive Cancer Center for more than 28 years. UACC boasts several free-standing research and clinical buildings, with four strong programs and eight well-developed shared resources.
