The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) invite nominations and applications to lead the Fred Hutch Breast Cancer Program.

The position will be dual appointed with a primary faculty appointment in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and a secondary appointment in the UW Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of Hematology and Oncology.

Appointment to the full-time faculty at the UW would be at the rank of associate or full professor. Academic appointments at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Associate and full professors hold indefinite appointments that both align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

Opportunities exist for joint and/or affiliate appointment in the Fred Hutch Divisions of Public Health Sciences, Translational Science and Therapeutics, Human Biology, Basic Sciences, or Vaccine and Infectious Disease, depending on mutual interests.

This position is paid directly by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and receives no UW compensation.  Please refer to Fred Hutch for information about compensation for this position.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

·         MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)

·         Board certification in medical oncology (or foreign equivalent)

·         Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $340,826-$365,366 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank, and from $394,863-$444,221 for faculty hired at the Full Professor rank. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance or a sign-on bonus. Other compensation associated with this position may include an Administrative Supplement (ADS) in addition to base pay.
