The University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine, the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Department of Neurology seek an innovative and collaborative leader to oversee and expand the Division of Neurological Oncology. As the only academic medical center in Orange County, UCI Health plays an essential role in improving the lives of people in the local community and beyond. The next Neurological Oncology Division Chief must be a collaborative and growth-oriented partner who can work alongside health professionals across the institution, throughout Orange County, and nationally to ensure access to world-class neurological oncology care.
The University of California, Irvine, Department of Neurology and the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center are seeking an outstanding and growth-oriented full-time faculty member with clinical and research leadership experience in the neurological oncology field to serve as Neurological Oncology Division Chief. Clinical duties include inpatient and outpatient neuro-oncology care, participation in clinical trials, and teaching fellows, residents, and medical students in an adult hospital and comprehensive cancer setting.
The position is offered in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor or Clinical Professor series at the Associate or Full Professor rank commensurate with experience.
Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.
Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service. Excellent teaching is an essential criteria for appointment in this series.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
• An M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree with active board certification or eligibility in Neurology or Hematology-Oncology with fellowship training in Neuro-Oncology.
• Eligibility to obtain an active and unrestricted medical practice license to practice in the State of California.

Salary range: The Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation depending on specialty can range from $350,000-$500,000.
